Bryant Nash wears to pull the Lakers from coma

Los Angeles Lakers ended a run of four straight defeats with a great display of basketball group, led by Kobe Bryant generous, defeated Utah Jazz (102-84), a team that did not exceed at Staples Center since December 2011.

Bryant, more leader than ever, stood at the gates of its nineteenth triple-double (14 points, 14 assists, 9 rebounds) and an assist to match his record in the NBA (in 2002 against Washington), while Pau Gasol, again off the bench, contributed 15 points (7/8 shooting) and seven rebounds. Dwight Howard and Metta World Peace (5/11 in triples) added 17 points each.

The leading scorer was Derrick Favors Jazz with 14 points. The premises offered good feeling from the start, from the increased intensity and activity of Howard (11-2), to the high percentage from the perimeter thanks to the success of Metta World Peace and ease of Bryant, who handed out 5 assists in the first quarter-to find the man best placed.

Gasol began hesitantly from the staff (fourth) but awoke in the second quarter with four straight points (33-27) and a good job defensively, but Utah did not lose camber thanks mainly to the coming into court Gordon Hayward and Derrick Favors, revolting to some Jazz without much rhythm or consistency.

The Lakers, leveraging its large lead in rebounding (25-14), went into the break with a solid income (45-35). Without a screaming fast in front basis, Californians emphasized defense over Randy Foye, who was not ring until the 26th minute, and neutralized to perfection Utah big men, especially the Turk Enes Kanter.

Nash, taking advantage of Bryant was between the eyes provide the game, did not hesitate to look at the ring much more than usual and lead the good start of their own in the second half, but the constancy of Favors and Paul Millsap and work Al Jefferson in the area made it never throw in the towel Utah (61-58).

However, three-pointers (two of World Peace and one of Chris Duhon) after oxygen assists Bryant gave the Lakers a lack of room for play (72-63). That streak tamed his opponent, he could no longer take flight while attending Gasol technical exhibition, with insights from the top of the area and suspensions of five meters.

The team responded, including Jodie Meeks as secondary-and offered his best picture in weeks (85-69), with interesting movements Howard in the paint and a brush to tap Bryant physically recovered from his poor performances last week.

The improvement exhibited today by the Lakers will be tested this Sunday against Oklahoma, the best team in the league.
